Umorphia can change the way you think about solving number puzzles.
Umorphia is an original Sudoku-type 3D puzzle that made its first appearance on the iPhone and iPod touch in early April 2009.
This mind-bending game is played on the surfaces of 3D structures like the solids shown on this page. Also on any 3D object or 2D surface that can be represented by a collection of adjacent polygons. The common ground between Umorphia and Sudoku appears to be the placement of numbers in number-cells based on simple logic. The common concept of placing sigle numbers within certain regions is present in two of the three rules of Umorphia.
To solve a puzzle, fill in all empty number cells with the correct figure and then enjoy the much deserved celebration animations.
Challenge your mind with a practically unlimited number of unique puzzles played on a set of different and interactive 3D geometries.
Alternatively, simply enjoy morphing a solid out of a collection of nine. Touch, rotate, enlarge, shrink, change colors and transform your solid into a grid or the other way around.
Highly recommended: Enjoy the relaxing effect of observing a highly symmetric solid as it rotates in a black deep-space like background.
Whilst entertaining and relaxing the mind with its dynamically animated graphics and the harmonic aesthetics of featured solids, Umorphia’s side effects are to sharpen your combinatorial skills as well as spatial memory and recognition.
A great game for lovers of logic puzzles, like Sudoku, looking for exciting and new challenges.
